This one hurt a little. They’d been looking at them since the end of July and I had hoped that meant they wanted them around and maybe they did, maybe these poems got farther than others, but rejections seem to come in waves. Nothing for months and then two in one week. Damn. Oh well. The only thing to do is send them out again – immediately. And I did.

good that you did. rejections mean nothing. they are certainly not a barometer of your talent, which is HUGE. catching up here.

Trying to remember that. Sending them out again is the only way I’ve found that dulls that initial STABBING feeling. Throwing out another cast – that’s all I can do! And to keep writing, of course.
