I always WANT to do something fun and can never think of anything. My creativity stops there. And then I get really jealous that other people have better costumes than me. Oh Halloween.
Anyone have any good Halloween costume ideas?

I think you should be Starbrite. But ONLY if it’s a homemade costume and ONLY if Pat is willing to be your buddy, the unicorn. Or whatever her pet is.

A friend told me recently that (mythologically/esoterically) as a goat refines over a lifetime, it becomes a unicorn. I always thought a unicorn was a ‘higher’ expression of horse, but apparently not.
How about a pair of tortoises? All you’d have to make are two carapaces, and we all need at least one of those, Halloween or no? XO-

That’s really interesting! I also always assumed a unicorn was a “higher” horse because the unicorns in pop culture are always horses with horns. Things are not always as they seem – I should have known. Perhaps I’ll have more respect for goats now.
I like the tortoise idea! We are certainly in need of carapaces. I’m feeling the early 90s coming back with the Ninja Turtles. Also loved the Ninja Turtles being the younger sibling of a boy. =)

When one thinks about it, the goat/unicorn image makes really great sense. . . the humble goat’s two horns (representing divisiveness/duality/polarization?) become one (integration/individuation, the harmonizing of opposites) – – – love it! And, as you said, the image ups one’s respect for goats!

The way roots form into one trunk. Except with trunks they seem to sprout again with branches and leaves. I like the idea. Sometimes you see antlers/horns that have curled onto themselves and converged. xo
