I’ve been a bad blogger of late. I think I’m using all my reserves for the poems or maybe it’s just too damn cold here. Sunny California awaits. 70 degrees and did I mention sunny? I’m going to sit by the water and take deep breaths.
I was hoping the poem I was working on would be done before I left, but perhaps it’s waiting for me to leave to show me what it really needs. And I’m OK with that.

  1. Leave the wintery cold and snow behind you, Rachel, let the poem soak up some sun with you in California; maybe that will be the defrosting it needs; whatever is gestating in you will flower–let go of it and have a beautiful time!

      Thank you, Melissa!
My thoughts exactly. I think my whole system needs a defrost. I can’t wait! Something about being on the West again lifts a huge weight off my chest. I’ve always breathed better on that side.
I’ll try to send you sunshine!
