My happy places

Another beautiful weekend. Pool, hiking, dark beer, friends. I’m going to ride until the wind shifts, but lately the wind is at our backs, helping us forward. Last week, Pat got a job offer. No more social work, which for him is a weight off and for us a new future. In a few years, he might be making enough to support the both of us, which means, I might have more time to write. I would still work part-time because I love my job and I need it to mix things up, but part time? I could handle that. And I could handle staying home a few days and making babies and writing. We’ll see. We are a long way off. We have work to do. But it means we are here and for the first time in a long time, we are staying still to make something.

This is wonderful good news! Yes- sometimes it is just impossible to thrive if one does not stay somewhere long enough to put down the roots which will bring up the nutrients for growth.
A bit tortured there, but you know what I mean!
Mostly I am just glad for this news.

This is the first place where we’ve felt we can settle for a bit. It’s a nice feeling. A wonderful feeling. I understand exactly what you mean. We are equally thrilled! Thank you, Mary. xoox
