Gift poem

At my request, Rebecca wrote me (and others) a new year’s poem on Facebook. I’m posting it here, so I can always have it. I want to roll around in it like catnip. Thank you, Rebecca.

your radio cracked its music
on a windy day in Hollywood
we stole a scarf and a pack of batteries
and bucked inside the sparks
there are promises and there are weird
memories that trip wires in my head
artists sometimes sell out faster than car
salesmen
